Scott Ronald Dixon was born on July 22, 1980, in Australia. He is a professional racing driver who competes in the IndyCar series. Dixon is a member of the Chip Ganassi Racing team.
Early Career
Dixon began his professional racing career in 1993. In 1994, he won the New Zealand Vee Championship. The following year, he ventured into the Formula Ford Class II and achieved remarkable success, winning 13 out of 14 races.
Rising through the Ranks
In 1996, Dixon moved up to the higher class and became the champion in the Formula Ford Class I. His series of victories in prestigious rallies propelled him into the more competitive world of auto racing. From 1997 onwards, he participated in the Holden Formula. In his debut year, Dixon was recognized as one of the best rookies of the season. In 1998, he secured the championship title in the series, with five wins and five second-place finishes in 12 races.
