Biography of Sean Austin
Childhood and YouthSean Austin was born on February 25, 1971, in Santa Monica, California. His mother, Patty Duke, was an actress known for winning an Oscar and a Golden Globe. For a while, his father was believed to be showman Desi Arnaz Jr., but a genetic test revealed that his biological father was actually Patty's husband, writer and journalist Michael Tell. Since neither man was involved in raising Sean, his mother's second and third husbands, actor John Austin and Army sergeant Michael Pearce, became the closest people to him in his childhood. However, Sean had a meeting with his mother's disappeared fans in his teenage years and from then on, he claimed to have four fathers: Arnaz, Tell, Austin, and Pearce. This contact influenced the boy's worldview, and after studying at a Catholic high school, he pursued education at Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences and later converted to Protestant Christianity.

At the age of 13, Sean made his big screen debut as the main character in the film "The Goonies," based on a story by Steven Spielberg and telling the adventures and treasure hunts. Later, he appeared in teen comedies, participated in "The War of the Roses," and starred in the adventure drama "Memphis Belle." One of them appeared in her father's films, portraying Samwise Gamgee's daughter in "The Lord of the Rings" and a student at the school in "Bad Kids of Crestview Academy."
