Biography of Sean Stevenson
Sean Stevenson (Sean Clinch Stephenson) was born in 1979 in Chicago, Illinois. From a young age, he was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called imperfect osteogenesis, which prevented his bones from developing properly. Despite the doctors' prognosis that he would not live long, Sean managed to overcome the odds and survive. However, his childhood was far from happy, as he endured years of pain, medical treatments, and constant visits to doctors.

As predicted, Sean did not grow to a normal height and only reached a height of 90 centimeters, even in adulthood. Despite his physical limitations, Sean developed a strong character and learned to endure pain from an early age. He faced numerous challenges throughout his life, including over 200 bone fractures, but he never allowed himself to be defeated. The most significant challenge for Sean was not the physical pain but the unkindness he experienced from others due to his condition.

When asked about his source of strength, Sean always credits his family, particularly his parents, for teaching him to focus on the positive aspects of life. They instilled in him the belief that he had control over his own decisions, whether to give in to failure or persevere. Sean learned how to support himself emotionally and not let others pity or ridicule him.

At the age of 17, Sean Stevenson began working as a motivational speaker for the organization 'Make-A-Wish Foundation.' He later graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Political Science and worked in the administration of President Bill Clinton and Illinois Congressman Bill Lipinski. Sean went on to publish his first book, 'How You(th) Can Succeed!' in 2001.

Sean's education extended beyond political science, as he later became a therapist specializing in hypnosis and neuro-linguistic programming. In 2009, he published his second book, 'Get Off Your 'But,'' which was later turned into a documentary film, expanding his audience even further.

Sean considers himself a successful person, as he has built a significant career and has been able to help others despite his physical limitations. He believes that his wheelchair and height only represent 2% of who he truly is as a person.

In September 2012, Sean married Mindie Kniss and considers himself a happy individual. He has learned to love life despite all the challenges he has faced and finds even greater happiness when he is able to inspire others to do the same.
