Early Life and Career
Shaken Aymanov was born on April 23 (May 5), 1896, in the village of No. 13, Turgai Region, Russian Empire (present-day Karabalysky District, Kostanay Region). He was one of the first professional Kazakh actors and the first Kazakhstani film actor.
Aymanov's acting career began in 1925 when he joined the M. O. Auezov Kazakh Academic Drama Theater (Almaty). He worked as an actor and director, playing a significant role in establishing the foundations of dramatic theater art in Kazakhstan.
