Early Life and CareerFyodor Fyodorovich Kojemyaka, a renowned Russian and Soviet professional wrestler, was born in Taganrog. He began his sporting journey in 1918 at the "Sport" club under the tutelage of Nikolai Lukin, a world champion in kettlebell lifting, and Pyotr Grigoriev, a renowned wrestler and referee.
In 1922, Kojemyaka embarked on his professional wrestling career in Kursk, billed as "The Mighty Mother of Russia" and "The Rising Star of the Sporting World." He quickly gained prominence through his victories over formidable opponents such as Alexander Mikula, earning the nickname "Kojemyaka" from Ivan Lebedev in Moscow.
Wrestling Style and Achievements
Kojemyaka possessed incredible strength and physical prowess, relying on a straightforward and relentless grappling style. His signature techniques included the front and reverse waistlock, lateral takedown, and "double nelson." He had remarkable skill in grappling with doubles.
Throughout his career, Kojemyaka achieved significant accolades. In 1924, he secured 3rd place in Voronezh. In Gorky, he earned 2nd place behind Kvariani, defeating formidable wrestlers such as Zamukov and Zhilin. In 1926, he emerged victorious in Voronezh, claiming 1st place and securing wins over Borov, Roschin, and others. In 1937, he placed 3rd in Gorky, following Borov and Mazenkov, and triumphed over Churkina and Bondaenko.

Kojemyaka's reputation was not only built on his wrestling skills but also on his popularity with audiences. His battles with fellow wrestlers, such as Bogatyrev, became legendary, and his enduring legacy continues to inspire generations of wrestlers.
