Early Life and Education
Birth and Childhood:Sergei Viktorovich was born on October 15, 1986, in Chernihiv, Ukraine. From an early age, he developed a passion for sports.
Education:
Sergei attended Chernihiv Lyceum No. 22 from 1993 to 2003. In 2008, he graduated from Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko Chernihiv National Pedagogical University with a degree in physical education.
Combat Sports Career
Introduction to Martial Arts:Sergei discovered his love for judo at the age of 12 while attending Chernihiv Lyceum No. 22. Judo became his primary focus in life.
Competitive Success:
Sergei excelled in various combat sports, including judo, sambo, and other disciplines. He earned multiple national championship titles and medals at international tournaments. Notably, he became an International Master of Sports in sports and combat sambo, as well as a Master of Sports in judo.
Coaching Career:
Alongside his athletic pursuits, Sergei began his coaching career in judo and sambo at the DYuSSh in 2005.
Expansion into Other Disciplines
Versatility in Martial Arts:In 2009, Sergei expanded his skills by venturing into other contact disciplines, including рукопашный бой, grappling, pankration, freestyle wrestling, and universal combat. He achieved success in these areas as well.
Foundation of "Yavara" Fight Club:
In 2013, Sergei co-founded the "Yavara" martial arts club in Chernihiv.
Growing Interest in Combat Sambo:
While living in Cherkasy in 2015, Sergei's exposure to combat sambo, boxing, judo, and MMA sparked his passion for the combat aspect of sambo.
Personal Life
Marriage and Family:Sergei has been married to Yana since 2009, who is also a Master of Sports in wrestling.
