Shane McRae is a popular American actor who has played many interesting roles throughout his career. He has appeared in various television projects, such as "Hack," "One Life to Live," "Law and Order: Criminal Intent," "Cold Case," and "Four Kings."

Early Life

Shane McRae was born on July 23, 1977, in Gainesville, Florida. He was the eldest of three children. His sister, Kelly, was born on November 14, 1979, and later graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. His brother, Ryan, was born on December 9, 1982, and studied at Georgetown University in Washington.

When Shane turned ten, his family relocated to Starkville, Mississippi, where they settled down. In 1992, Shane enrolled in the renowned Starkville High School and developed an interest in theater. Despite excelling in football and considering a sports career, Shane ultimately chose to pursue his passion for the arts.

Theater Career

In 1993, Shane McRae participated in a student production of "Bye, Bye Birdie" and, a year later, played the lead role in "Hello Dolly." He continued to shine in student plays, including "A Midsummer Night's Dream."

In the spring of 1996, Shane graduated from Starkville High School and joined Mississippi State University, where he showcased his acting abilities in the production of "South Pacific." Later that same year, he transferred to the University of Evansville to study theater.

Since then, Shane has consistently performed in theater productions, honing his craft.

Professional Career

After completing his education at the University of Evansville, Shane McRae moved to New York City. There, he was accepted into the NYU Graduate Acting Program and graduated with an honorary diploma and a master's degree. He soon made his Broadway debut, earning a Tony Award for his first role.

Subsequently, Shane transitioned into television and began actively appearing in various television series. Currently, he continues to act in theater productions while making occasional TV appearances.
