Early Life and High School Career

Sheldon Adam Richardson was born on November 29, 1990, in St. Louis, Missouri. From a young age, he displayed a passion for football. As a teenager, he attended Gateway High School, where he joined the school's football team, the Gateway Jaguars. Richardson quickly established himself as a defensive force, leading the team in tackles and quarterback sacks. In his senior year, he earned a spot on the USA Today High School All-American team and was named the nation's top defensive tackle by Rivals.com.

College Career

After graduating from high school, Richardson enrolled at the College of the Sequoias in California. Two years later, he transferred to the University of Missouri, where he spent the remainder of his college eligibility.
