Silvana Suarez, an Argentine model and winner of the title 'Miss World 1978', became the second Argentine woman to win this prestigious competition. She was born in Cordoba, Argentina, on September 29, 1958. Suarez lived in Cordoba for 20 years, a city known for being one of the best educational centers in South America.

Suarez's parents were highly intelligent individuals who were involved in sculpture and mural painting. She herself studied at a local music school and, at the age of 17, graduated as a music teacher and choir conductor. Suarez continued her education and spent three years studying architecture at the National University of Cordoba. However, she had to leave the university due to an unusual reason - she won the 'Miss World' contest.

Winning 'Miss World' was her seventh victory in beauty pageants, although the previous six were not as prestigious. Along with the title came an extremely demanding work schedule, which meant that Suarez was unable to return home for a long time.
