Biography of Silvia Colloca
Silvia Colloca is an Italian actress and talented opera singer. She was born on July 23, 1977, in Milan, Italy, to parents Loredana and Mario Colloca. Since her childhood, Silvia had always dreamed of becoming an actress, a dream shared by her mother. At the age of 13, her father enrolled her in an acting school, where she studied dramatic arts for seven years.

Silvia also attended a prestigious music academy in Milan for four years, studying mezzo-soprano, a female operatic vocal voice. She then worked in musical theaters across Italy, collaborating with renowned directors, including Maestro Giuseppe Patroni Griffi.

In 2004, Silvia gained global recognition with her major role in Stephen Sommers' horror-action film "Van Helsing," where she portrayed Verona, one of Dracula's brides. It was during the filming of this movie that she found the love of her life, actor Richard Roxburgh. The couple got married in September 2004.
On February 10, 2007, Silvia and Richard welcomed their son, Raphael Roxburgh. After her role in "Van Helsing," she appeared in the independent Italian film "Apocalypse of the Apes," directed by Roman Skavolini. In this film, Silvia delivered a dramatic performance as a single mother and drug addict.
Silvia also starred alongside Wesley Snipes in Po-Chih Leong's action film "The Detonator," marking her first leading role in American cinema. In 2007, she portrayed Elizabeth, a likable nun who captivates Lorenzo, in David Leland's comedy "Virgin Territory," alongside Hayden Christensen.
In 2008, Silvia appeared in her first directorial work, Claudio Macor's "Out of the Night," alongside her husband Richard Roxburgh and screen legend Peter O'Toole. She also starred in the horror film "Lesbian Vampire Killers" with James Corden and Matthew Horne.
Currently, Silvia is planning to make a comeback to the stage with the musical opera "A Night at the Opera," where she will be working alongside another project star, Jonathan Ansell. The nationwide tour of "A Night at the Opera" will conclude at the London Palladium Theater on November 23, 2008.
