Early Life and EducationSimon Kinberg was born in London, England to a Jewish family. He immigrated to the United States and grew up in Los Angeles, California. Kinberg attended Brentwood School in Los Angeles, graduating in 1991. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude. He also holds a Master of Arts degree from Columbia University, where he won their highest screenwriting award.
