Early Years and Formation (2001)

In the quaint city of Ternopil, Ukraine, the foundations of a musical phenomenon were laid in 2001. Oleg Sobchuk and Oleksandr Hryshchuk, classmates at the Ternopil Halytsky College, embarked on a musical journey, forming the band known as SKAI.

Rise to Prominence (2005)

The band's popularity soared after their participation in the "Fresh Blood" project on the M1 music channel in 2005. Edvard Klim, a judge and founder of Lavina Music, recognized their talent and stylistic originality.

Lavina Music Partnership (2006)

Under Lavina Music's guidance, the band adopted a stylized name, "S. K. A. Й.," and released their debut album, "To, Shcho Treba," in 2006. The album showcased a diverse range of tracks, from the upbeat and energetic to the heartfelt and introspective.

Breakthrough and Critical Recognition (2007-2008)

S. K. A. Й.'s second album, "Planeta S. K. A. Й.," was released in 2007, solidifying their position as a major force in Ukrainian music. The album was hailed for its poignant lyrics and thought-provoking themes. In 2008, the band won the "Non-Pop" award from Jem FM for "Best Album of the Year" and "Best Vocalist" for Oleg Sobchuk.

Continued Success and International Exposure (2009-2012)

S. K. A. Й. continued to garner critical acclaim, winning another "Non-Pop" award in 2009 for "Best Tour of the Year." They performed at the "Because I Was a Stranger" music festival in Poland and embarked on a concert tour across Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus.

Third Album and Evolution (2010)

The band's third album, "!" (Exclamation Mark), was released in 2010. While critics noted the album's similarities to previous releases, it further showcased S. K. A. Й.'s lyrical depth and musical maturity.

Charity and Activism (2012-2015)

S. K. A. Й. embraced their social responsibility, performing at a benefit concert in 2012 to raise funds for cancer research. In 2015, they embarked on a charity tour of Canada, donating all proceeds to victims of the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

Anniversary Celebration and International Expansion (2016)

In 2016, S. K. A. Й. celebrated their 15th anniversary with a special tour. They expanded their reach internationally, performing in London, Dublin, and Paris.
