Formation and Early Days

In the bustling metropolis of Moscow, a chance encounter ignited the spark that would become the rock band SLOT. As Cache and Dэн crossed paths at an alternative music gathering, they envisioned a collaboration that could push the boundaries of their genre. Soon after, ID joined their ranks, completing the core trio.

The Arrival of Teona Dolnikova

The search for a captivating vocalist led them to Teona Dolnikova, a renowned opera singer who graced the stages of "Metro" and "Notre-Dame de Paris." Despite her classical background, Teka embraced the raw energy of heavy alternative music with remarkable speed. With her exceptional talent, the band crafted their maiden demo, "SLOT 1," comprising five explosive tracks.

Recognition and Debut Album

SLOT's relentless promotion and distribution of their demo caught the attention of music publications, including NEON and NME. The hype surrounding Moscow's most promising vocalist propelled the band into the spotlight. In 2002, they launched their official website and released their demo songs on RealMusic.ru. Their debut concert at Club Tochka marked a challenging yet memorable first encounter with their audience.

A pivotal moment came with their victory in RealMusic.ru's online competition, where their track "Odni" soared through the rankings. The promised rewards from the contest proved elusive, but the recognition boosted their morale and paved the way for their breakthrough in the film industry.

The "Bumer" Success

"Bumer," a blockbuster movie, featured two electrifying SLOT hits, "Klon" and "Tolko By Prikalyvalo." These tracks graced the film's soundtrack and became the band's first official releases. The surreal experience of seeing their music accompany a movie trailer was both exhilarating and humbling, especially when it was mistakenly attributed to another artist in the credits.

Capitalizing on the "Bumer" momentum, Mirteriya Zvuka proudly unveiled SLOT's debut album, "SLOT 1," in October 2003. It became a groundbreaking release, propelling them into the forefront of alternative music sales in Russia.

Vocalist Transition and IF's Arrival

In the midst of their success, the band faced a difficult decision to part ways with Teona Dolnikova due to scheduling conflicts and internal factors. Their relentless search for a new vocalist continued, and in 2003, they discovered IF through an online advertisement. IF's immense potential and eagerness to hone her vocal abilities made her an ideal choice. Following Teona's departure, IF quickly stepped into the role, preparing diligently to fill the void.

Line-Up Changes and Second Album

As 2004 dawned, SLOT underwent further line-up changes. Dэн and Proff were replaced by Muxei4 on bass guitar and Mr.Dude on drums. These new members brought a fresh energy to the band, promising to influence their sound and musical direction. The newly reinforced team embarked on the creation of their second album, slated for a spring release.
