As the Chairman, CEO, and controlling shareholder of Intracom Holdings, Kokkalis leads one of the largest technology groups in Southeast Europe. Ownership of Olympiacos
For 18 years, from 1992 to 2010, Kokkalis was the owner and Chairman of Olympiacos, Greece's most successful football club. During his tenure, the club achieved unprecedented success, winning 12 championship titles, 5 Greek Cups, and 1 Greek Super Cup. Notably, Kokkalis negotiated a long-term lease for the Karaiskakis Stadium and oversaw its extensive renovation.

In 1992, a 350-page report from the Stasi archives surfaced, alleging that Kokkalis had been an agent under the codename "Rocco."
