Early Life and Education
Born into an academic family in Moga, Punjab, on July 30, 1975, Sonu Sood pursued a conventional education at various institutions. However, his passion for the arts grew during his college years at Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering in Nagpur.
Modeling and Acting Debut
Sood's striking appearance and charisma landed him a finalist position in the Grasim Mr. India pageant in 1996. This exposure paved the way for his acting debut in the Tamil film "Majunu" in the late 1990s.
Breakthrough and Success
Sood's portrayal of Bhagat Singh in the Punjabi film "Shaheed-E-Azam" brought him critical acclaim. In 2004, he received widespread recognition for his role in Mani Ratnam's "Yuva," alongside an ensemble cast.
