Biography of Stanley Albert Fafara
Stanley Albert Fafara was born on September 20, 1949, in San Francisco, California, USA. He grew up in Studio City, a suburb of Los Angeles, where his mother pushed him into acting at a young age. After appearing in several commercials, Stanley landed the role of Whitney, a blond-haired friend of the main character in the sitcom "Leave It to Beaver," played by Jerry Mathers. He also appeared in an episode of the series "The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin."

Stanley is best known for his role as Hubert "Whitey" Whitney in the idyllic comedy television series "Leave It to Beaver." He appeared in 42 out of the 234 episodes of the show. His older brother, Tiger, was also involved in the project, playing the character of Tooey Brown. However, Stanley's real adult life was far from the wholesome family sitcom. He preferred alcohol, drugs, and petty crimes.
On September 20, 2003, Stanley passed away in a hospital in Portland, Arizona, due to complications from a recent surgery to repair a hernia causing bowel compression. This was reported by Tom Holman, a reporter for the "Portland Oregonian" newspaper. Holman had been in contact with Stanley and discovered in December 2002 that he was already weakened by a hepatitis C infection, a result of years of intravenous drug use.
During his teenage years, Stanley began drinking and using drugs and even lived with members of the rock group "Paul Revere and the Raiders." He was sent to Jamaica with his sister, but he returned to Los Angeles at the age of 22, where he became involved in drug dealing. In the early 1980s, Fafara broke into a pharmacy, which ultimately led to a one-year prison sentence for burglary. After his release, he held several jobs but eventually returned to a life of drugs, using the money earned from drug sales to fuel his destructive habits.
After another stint behind bars and completing a rehabilitation program, Stanley decided to move to Portland in the early 1990s in the hopes of finally breaking free from drugs. However, he spent a long time living in a motel room or wandering the streets before finally seeking treatment for drug addiction in August 1995. After saying goodbye to alcohol and mind-altering substances, a clean and sober Fafara moved to a halfway house and then settled in subsidized apartments on the outskirts of Skid Row in Portland, where he was monitored by social services. Finally, in 2003, the former actor was hospitalized.
Towards the end of his life, Stanley Fafara took a few acting lessons, but his desire to return to show business remained unrealized. In addition to "Leave It to Beaver" and "The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin," Stanley also appeared in the series "The Millionaire" during his childhood.
