Biography of Stein Erik Hagen
Stein Erik Hagen was born on July 22, 1956, in Norway. He received his education at Kjpmannsinsituttet, which is now part of the Norwegian School of Management. From 1973 to 1975, Stein underwent training at the Commerce Institute - Wang.
In the 1970s, Stein, along with his father, founded the first discount store, where products were sold at lower prices. This company was called Rimi, which soon transformed into a whole retail network. In 2000, the owner of Rimi sold the company to the Swedish organization MCA (International Council on Archives), investing a large part of the proceeds into the company Orkla.
Stein is considered not only an influential investor but also a lover of sea cruises. His sailing yacht, for example, is the largest sailing ship in all of Europe. In addition to this, Stein regularly provides financial support to various political parties. His financial assistance to the Liberal Party in the Norwegian elections a few years ago serves as evidence of this. He is also loyal to other parties of different orientations, such as the Christian Democratic Party, the Conservative Party, and the Progressive Party.
Currently, Stein Erik Hagen holds numerous positions and has held various positions in the past.
