He moved to France with his family at the age of two and grew up in the town of Évreux. Mandanda's football journey began on the streets of Évreux, where he honed his skills as a goalkeeper.
At the age of 15, he joined the youth academy of HAC (Le Havre Athletic Club) and impressed with his athleticism and reflexes. He spent four years with HAC, progressing through the youth ranks and making his professional debut in 2005.
Move to Olympique de Marseille
In 2007, Mandanda joined Olympique de Marseille on a loan deal. He quickly established himself as the team's number one goalkeeper, helping them finish third in Ligue 1 and qualify for the Champions League. His performances caught the attention of the French national team, and he made his debut in 2008.
A Decade of Success in Marseille
