Biography of Stuart Hutchinson
Stuart Hutchinson is a young Scottish man who became a victim of medical negligence. Doctors failed to detect two large tumors in his head, and by the time the cancer was almost fatal, emergency treatment began. Today, Stuart is recovering, but when one of his tumors was removed, he had only 24 hours to live.

Shocking Photographs
Photographs of 19-year-old Scottish student Stuart Hutchinson shocked Internet users. In the pictures, he resembled a living mummy, with his head and face covered in bandages. This was necessary due to the extremely harsh treatment he had undergone, including two surgeries on his head and 33 radiation sessions.

Medical Negligence
Stuart's problems with severe headaches began in May 2011, and he initially sought medical attention for constant head pain and dizziness. Doctors diagnosed him with an ear infection and provided conservative treatment. Unfortunately, the treatment did not help, and Stuart visited the hospital five times over the next month with no improvement. His condition continued to worsen, and by July of that year, he could barely walk, his speech was affected, and he lost control of his right hand.

A Desperate Situation
One morning, Stuart was unable to get out of bed, prompting his parents, Fiona and George, to become seriously alarmed. They rushed him to Stirling Royal Infirmary, where immediate scanning revealed a massive tumor in his head that was pressing on his brain and constricting blood vessels, posing a constant threat to his life. An emergency surgery was performed, and doctors informed Stuart's parents that he had less than 24 hours to live.
A Long Road to Recovery
Stuart underwent two surgeries and 33 radiotherapy sessions. For months, he remained in the hospital, receiving nutrition through a tube and bearing a striking resemblance to a mummy. His parents' concern sometimes turned to panic as his recovery progressed very slowly. They were angry and frustrated with the negligent doctors who failed to conduct necessary tests in a timely manner.
Seeking Justice
Today, Stuart Hutchinson is on the path to recovery, but he still harbors anger over the negligence that nearly cost him his life and subjected him to months of agony. An official complaint has been filed against NHS Forth Valley Hospital, and an investigation into the incident has been initiated. Despite the visible scar on his head, which extends from the middle of his head to the middle of his neck, Stuart will never forget the ordeal he endured, lying for months with his head completely bandaged, unable to see the light or eat solid food.
He intends to pursue his complaint to the end, not just for himself, but to prevent someone else from falling victim to medical negligence, which can have devastating consequences.
