Biography of Supla

Supla is a Brazilian punk musician who was born in San Paulo to Marta Suplicy, a former mayor of the city, and her husband Eduardo Suplicy, a senator. He began his musical career at the age of 13, playing drums for the band 'Os Impossiveis'. He was heavily influenced by 'The Beatles', 'The Rolling Stones', and David Bowie during this time. After a period of time, Supla joined the larger band 'Metropolis' as a drummer.

At the age of 17, Supla started his own project called 'Zigue-Zague', where he performed as the lead singer. The band later changed its name to 'Tokyo' and primarily played heavy punk music. They had a successful run of about 3 years, during which they went on two international concert tours and released two studio albums under the 'CBS Records' label. However, the band eventually disbanded, leading Supla to pursue a solo career.

Throughout his career, Supla has released a total of 10 solo albums, including collaborations with other musicians such as Rita Lee from 'Os Mutantes', Bebel Gilberto, and Max Cavalera from 'Sepultura'. He has also ventured into acting and has appeared in several films, television series, and soap operas.

In 1995, Supla formed a new band called 'Psycho 69' while in New York City. However, they only released one album. In 2005, he released a DVD titled 'Supla Só Na Loucura' which featured a biographical documentary film, live recordings from a concert tour in support of the album 'Menina Mulner', and other additional materials.

Supla has also participated in various music collaborations, including performing cover songs with the Brazilian punk band 'Holy Tree'. He has continued to tour and released a new album, 'Vicious', in 2006. Additionally, he has hosted his own television show called 'O Rei da Mídia', where he interviews celebrities from the music, politics, and sports industries.

In April 2007, Supla launched an exhibition project called 'ROCKERS' at the national gallery FAAP. Renowned photographer Bob Gruen showcased 290 photographs from his portfolio, capturing rock stars in their public and personal lives. The exhibition received positive reviews from both visitors and critics.

Supla also maintains a presence on the popular social networking site MySpace.
