Biography of Svetlana Loboda
Svetlana Loboda is a singer, known to the audience as a former soloist of the famous group "VIA Gra". Today, she is a successful solo artist, as well as a TV presenter, songwriter, and the founder of her own scandalous fashion brand. Her popularity is rapidly growing, with sold-out stadium concerts, chart-topping tracks, and highly viewed music videos.
Childhood and Youth
Svetlana Loboda was born on October 18, 1982, in Kiev, under the zodiac sign of Libra. Her passion for music began in her childhood, as she constantly performed in front of her relatives and family guests, receiving ovations at a young age. Her musical abilities were nurtured by her parents and grandmother, who was an opera singer in the past. Svetlana's grandmother motivated her to continue her music lessons, even when they became boring.
Music
Out of all the educational institutions that taught vocal and stage skills, Loboda chose the Circus and Variety Arts Academy, specializing in pop and jazz vocals. She quickly found traditional education too boring and started her musical career on the first year of her studies by joining a musical group called "Kapuchino." The group gained fame in the Ukrainian show business, and Svetlana, along with Tina Karol and others, started touring the country. However, Loboda realized that this was not the format she preferred. She changed her image and started singing as an "international star" who never takes off her dark sunglasses and carefully hides her personal life. She named her alter ego Alicia Gorn. After giving numerous concerts in clubs, she formed a new group named "Ketch" three days before the beginning of 2004. Loboda became the lead vocalist and producer of the group. It was during one of these concerts that she caught the attention of Konstantin Meladze. From then on, events unfolded at a dizzying speed. She auditioned for Meladze's project and easily made it to the top twenty finalists. It turned out that this was not an ordinary audition, but a replacement for one of the vocalists of the group "VIA Gra." Despite the group's popularity at that time, Loboda was chosen due to her exceptional vocal abilities and stunning appearance. However, being part of the group came with strict limitations on her stage performance and behavior in front of the cameras. After starring in the musical film "Sorochinskaya Yarmarka," Loboda decided to leave the group in November 2004. The producers agreed that it would be better for everyone.
Personal Life
For a long time, Loboda lived with her partner Andrey Tsar, a choreographer who worked with her ballet. They have a daughter named Evangelina, born in 2011. However, their relationship ended in 2014 without any public scandals. The press linked Loboda's divorce to a romance with another dancer, Nazar Grabar, but both Loboda and Nazar denied these rumors. Nazar has a girlfriend whom he does not hide, and his relationship with Loboda is purely professional as he works as a backup dancer for her. Loboda stated that she wants to dedicate herself entirely to work, her sister, her parents, and raising her daughter. On her Instagram account, Loboda often shares photos of her work moments and adorable pictures with her daughter.
Recent Activities
In 2018, Loboda released the hit song "Superzvezda," and the music video was released on her YouTube channel in August. The track became the most downloaded song on Yandex.Music. In the same year, she won the second "Zhara Music Awards." Loboda is currently working on new material for a mini-album. In 2019, she released singles "Posledniy Geroy" and "Pulya-Dura."
