The Early Days of Swae Lee

Born Khalif Brown in Inglewood, California, in 1994, Swae Lee faced challenges from a young age. Raised by his mother and stepfather, he moved frequently due to his mother's military service and his stepfather's drug-related activities. However, through it all, he nurtured his musical talent and formed a close bond with his brothers, Aaquil and Michael.

Brothers in Music

Together with Aaquil (known as Slim Jxmmi), Swae Lee embraced music as a passion. They experimented with FL Studio and formed the group Dem Outta St8 Boyz in 2010. Their track "Party Animal" gained local recognition. Seeking to pursue their dreams, Swae Lee and his brother left home and moved into an abandoned house, focusing all their efforts on their music.

The Break with Eardrummers

Through a connection with rapper P-Nasty, the brothers relocated to Atlanta in hopes of meeting the CEO of Eardrummers, Mike WiLL Made-It. However, their initial attempts to impress him proved unsuccessful. Undeterred, they returned to Mississippi and continued to hone their craft.

A Second Chance

Fate intervened when P-Nasty heard their song "I Do." Recognizing their potential, he invited them back to Atlanta and introduced them to Mike WiLL. This encounter marked a turning point in their careers as Mike WiLL began to mentor them.

Rae Sremmurd Is Born

In 2014, Swae Lee and Aaquil formed the duo Rae Sremmurd (a play on Eardrummers). With the label's support, they released the hit tracks "No Flex Zone" and "No Type," which propelled them into mainstream success. Their collaborations with renowned artists such as Nicki Minaj, Kodak Black, and Gucci Mane further cemented their status in the industry.

Solo Successes and Collaborations

Despite his success as part of Rae Sremmurd, Swae Lee also embarked on a solo career. He released his first single, "Drink on Us," in 2015, and collaborated with top-tier artists such as Wiz Khalifa, French Montana, and Post Malone. Notably, his song "Sunflower" with Post Malone was featured in the animated "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" soundtrack.

Personal Life and Physical Appearance

Swae Lee's personal life has garnered attention with rumors and speculation. Unmarried and childless, he has been linked to Instagram model Marliesia Ortiz. Known for his youthful appearance, Swae Lee stands at 5'8" (1.73 m) tall and weighs approximately 143 lbs (65 kg). His body is adorned with numerous tattoos related to music and his personal journey.
