Early Life and Education
Taisiya Madysheva, a Ukrainian soprano and educator, was born on April 6, 1945, in Kharkiv, Ukraine. After graduating from Kharkiv State University in 1968, she pursued her musical studies at the Kharkiv State Institute of Arts, graduating in 1973.
Performing Career
Following her graduation, Madysheva became a soloist with the Kharkiv Oblast Philharmonic. While actively performing, she simultaneously embarked on a teaching career. In 1986, she joined the faculty of her alma mater, the Kharkiv State Institute of Arts.
Teaching Accomplishments
In 1992, Madysheva was appointed Associate Professor and became a full Professor in 2001 in the Department of Solo Singing at the Kharkiv State Institute of Arts. She has nurtured the talents of numerous students who have gone on to achieve success in international competitions.
Artistic Repertoire
Madysheva's vast repertoire encompasses chamber works by Ukrainian and international composers, including Alexander Bilash, Anatoly Kos-Anatolsky, Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Schubert, George Gershwin, and Gustav Mahler.
International Recognition
Madysheva's exceptional vocal abilities have led her to perform extensively throughout Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Germany, and other European countries. She has also served as a jury member for various international competitions in Lithuania, Finland, Portugal, and Italy.
