In 2003, Kuroda made the pivotal decision to move to New York City to immerse himself in the vibrant jazz scene. He enrolled in the prestigious New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, earning a Bachelor's degree in 2006. Influenced by legendary figures such as Dizzy Gillespie and Clifford Brown, Kuroda began honing his skills as a trumpet player and composer.

Kuroda's debut album, "Bitter and High," was released in 2010, showcasing his exceptional talent and eclectic musical influences.
