Biography of Tanya Hayden
Tanya Hayden, an American singer and cellist, was born on October 11, 1971, in New York City, USA. She is the daughter of jazz double bassist Charlie Hayden, the triplet sister of bassist Rachel Hayden and cellist Petra Hayden, and the sister of singer Josh Hayden. Tanya attended the California Institute of the Arts, where she specialized in experimental animation and received a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree.
Musical Career
Tanya Hayden has been a member of several bands, including the American indie band 'Let's Go Sailing' and the creator of the puppet show 'Imaginary Bear'. She has collaborated with many Los Angeles musicians, providing vocals and cello on the mini-album 'Pop Music United' by the band 'Par Avion'. She has also been an additional member of the band 'Silversun Pickups' and participated in the recording of their EP 'Pikul' in 2005.
Personal Life
On March 14, 2006, Tanya Hayden married actor Jack Black. The wedding ceremony took place at a beautiful location on the Pacific coast of Big Sur, California. They have two children together. Their first son, Samuel Hayden Black, was born on June 10, 2006. Their second son, Thomas David, was born on May 23, 2008.
Tanya and Jack met while attending the Crossroads School in Santa Monica. They started dating in the spring of 2005 and got engaged around Christmas of the same year. Jack proposed with a ring worth $250,000 from the brand 'Neil Lane'. In January 2008, Jack announced that Tanya was expecting their second child.
Early Life
Tanya recalls her childhood, saying "We would just start singing songs, and naturally we would divide up the harmony. When we were little, we wanted to sleep at our maternal grandparents' house, where we had a real blast because we would all be in the same room and before we went to sleep, we would sing in harmony."
