Early Life and Education
Born in the village of Algabas in Western Kazakhstan, the Kazakh statesman graduated from the Karaganda Pedagogical Institute in 1985 with a degree in elementary military training and physical education.
Career in Education and Athletics
Following his graduation, he worked in schools for a decade. From 1995 to 2002, he served as a coach for Thai boxing and kickboxing at the Astam Sports Club and the Karaganda Regional Committee of Tourism and Sports.
Administrative and Leadership Roles in Sports
From 2002 to 2009, he led the Karaganda Regional School of Higher Sportsmanship. Concurrently, he earned a law degree from Kazakh-Russian University in 2007. From 2009 to 2012, he held positions as deputy head and head of the Karaganda Oblast Administration for Tourism, Physical Culture, and Sports.
Aufstieg in der Sportadministration
In 2012, he became chairman of the Committee for Sports within the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan. He then served as director of the Department of High-Performance Sports and Sports Reserve under the Agency for Sports and Physical Culture. From March to November 2013, he held the position of deputy chairman of the agency. In November 2013, he was appointed chairman of the Agency for Sports and Physical Culture.
Transition to the Ministry of Culture and Sports
In August 2014, he became deputy minister of culture and sports, overseeing the development of sports in Kazakhstan. In December 2017, he was appointed chairman of the Astana City Trade Union Association.
Professional Affiliations and Achievements
He is the vice-president of the Kazakhstan Association of Kickboxing, Thai Boxing, and Martial Arts. He holds the rank of international judge in kickboxing and Thai boxing. As an experienced athlete, he holds a black belt in kickboxing and is a master of sambo. He has received numerous honors, including the titles of Honored Worker of Sport and Merited Coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
