Biography of Tatiana Ivanova
Childhood and YouthTatiana Ivanova, the lead singer of the group "Combination," was born on August 25, 1971, in the city of Saratov. However, the people of Karabulak consider the "Combination" vocalist their fellow countrywoman. This is because Tatiana's father, Gennadiy Ivanovich, was originally from the village of Shnyaeva in the Bazar-Karabulaksky district. As a result, Tatiana often visited there in her childhood to visit her relatives - her uncle's family. The artist herself is half Chuvash by nationality. Her early biography as a child passed in Saratov - there she studied and made her first appearance on stage. She loved to sing from a young age - performed at school events and was a member of an ensemble. The story of the singer's rise to fame resembles a Cinderella story. The artist herself prefers to call her acquaintance with the producer of "Combination" a fortunate coincidence. Alexander Shishinin, a former senior operative of the Public Security, worked as an administrator in the group "Integral" in the mid-80s. It was Bari Alibasov who advised him to create a female group similar to "Laskovyi May." Saratov is a city of talents. Shishinin started looking for candidates right on the streets. And he met Natalya Stepnova - Ivanova's friend, who impressed him not with her singing talent, but with her suitable stage appearance. He immediately invited Natasha for auditions and realized that long legs did not come with a voice and hearing. But Stepnova remembered Tatiana and asked her friend to come to the casting. She decided not to miss the chance. Alexander Vladimirovich was pleased with the new candidate for the role of the lead singer. There was only one problem - convincing the girl's parents. He had to make a lot of effort here - the father and mother did not immediately agree to let their daughter go on stage. The vocalist's family was very worried, including because of their daughter's lack of education. At the insistence of her parents, she entered a polytechnic institute but could not combine the concert schedule with lectures and seminars. She was expelled from the educational institution. There were thoughts of getting a professional musical education, but there was no time for that. However, this gap did not prevent the Saratov native from becoming an idol for millions of Russians. Excellent hearing, artistry, a pleasant voice, and an attractive appearance were enough for her phenomenal success.
Music
First of all, Alexander Shishinin introduced the girls to Vitaly Okorokov, who subsequently became the author of most of their songs. Tatiana Gennadievna said that initially there were six people in the group. The stories of each participant turned out to be surprisingly similar - all of them came to the group from the streets. And apparently, each one was selected based on their appearance. The makeshift "agitbrigade" was sent to rural clubs in the Saratov region with the task of "testing the program." According to the memories of the soloist, these first tours were terrible. Once the electricity was turned off in the concert hall - they had to sing by the light of candles and flashlights. And once, the young stars had to sleep in the bus - the transport broke down on the way. All the members of "Combination" were self-taught. Except one - Alena Apina. By the time the group was formed, she already had a diploma from a music school. She came to Shishinin as a second-year student of the conservatory. The vocalist planned to join the group only for the summer holidays, but she never returned to her studies.
The acquaintance with Apina turned into a lifelong friendship for Ivanova. Thanks to her, the native of Saratov "cultivated" herself. She started reading books she had never suspected before and began listening to foreign performers.
The famous song "Russian Girls" brought "Combination" nationwide popularity. In 1988, Tatiana Gennadievna and the group toured the USSR, giving 3 to 6 concerts a day. Speaking about this period, the soloist notes that it seemed feasible in her youth. Of course, she sang to a backing track - it was a normal phenomenon at that time.
It was then that Alexander Shishinin decided to move the group to Moscow. After persuading the parents and even leaving written guarantees, the producer became a stern father-figure for the girls. He monitored their schedule, did not allow the young artists to go out at night, and even locked their rooms after 10 p.m.
In 1991, the group released their third album, "Moskovskaya Propiska" ("Moscow Registration"). The hits from this album, such as "Bukhgalter" ("Accountant") and "American Boy," are still performed at concerts today. Unfortunately, this compilation became the last in the discography of the original lineup. Alena Apina announced her decision to start a solo career.
For Tatiana Gennadievna, this news almost caused a rift with her best friend. However, the story continued for the group. Soon, they released the hit song "Dva Kusochka Kolbaski" ("Two Pieces of Sausage") in the album of the same name. In an interview, the soloist revealed that she refused to record the song after reading the lyrics. Shishinin convinced her to do it. And this "standard of vulgarity and tastelessness" - as the critics would later call the composition - became one of the audience's favorites.
In 1993, the group's producer was killed. The investigation of the criminal case never found the customer or perpetrator of the murder. Ivanova, realizing how much money "Combination" brought to its creator, suggested that financial issues could have been the cause of the tragedy. Soon, Vitaly Okorokov also left the group. And the new producer became Alexander Tolmatsky, the father of the late rapper Decl.
This period was marked by a decline in the group's popularity. However, in 1994, their discography was enriched with the album "Samaya-Samaya" ("The Most, The Most"), recorded in collaboration with Igor Sarukhanov.
Subsequently, friends Alena Apina and Tatiana Ivanova often engaged in joint creative work. In 2018, they even filmed a music video for their song "Poslednyaya Poema" ("The Last Poem").
Personal Life
The first love of the soloist was a bass guitarist who played for Laima Vajkule and Igor Sarukhanov. At that time, the artist had just reached the age of majority. The relationship lasted for 4 years, but it did not lead to marriage or children. Later, the musician went on tour in Australia and never returned. He invited Tatiana Gennadievna to join him, but the life of an emigrant did not appeal to her.
The second serious relationship happened after Alexander Shishinin passed away. She lived with the pop singer Vadim Kazachenko for 1 year, but they never decided to start a family. Over time, the vocalist realized that "two stars in one cage do not sing well together." It was difficult for two pop stars to live together.
Soon, Alena Apina introduced her single friend to someone who was far from the music world - Elchin Musayev. He worked as a dentist at the time and, according to the former member of "Combination," dreamed of marrying the artist. Soon, the couple had a daughter named Maria.
However, their daughter did not follow in her mother's footsteps, although she sings well. She decided to study foreign languages and now earns a living through translation and editing.
In 2016, there were pleasant changes in Ivanova's personal life - she got married to the father of her daughter. Now, as a lawful spouse, she is convinced that she could not be so happy with anyone else and thanks fate and Apina for persuading her to meet her future husband.

The artist continues her concert activities, performing on stage 5-6 times a month. Many believe that she has stopped recording new songs. This is not true. For example, in 2020, she released a joint track with Vika Voronina called "Ostanovitsya" ("Stop").
In November, the soloist posted her photo on Instagram against the backdrop of the Mosfilm studio and shared joyful news. She became one of the participants in the revived project "SuperStar" on the NTV channel.
