Taylor Mary Dooley was born on September 26, 1993, in Gross Pointe, Michigan, USA. She is an American young actress, known for her starring role in the family 3D film "The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl".

Taylor comes from a diverse heritage, with Irish, German, English, and Native American Sioux ancestry on her father's side, and Belgian, German, and English ancestry on her mother's side. She has a younger brother named Drew. Taylor was raised as a Christian and grew up in Glendale, Arizona, where her family moved when she was six years old.

Early Career

Taylor showed an early interest in acting, often putting on shows for her family. This led her to attend the summer theater camp "Theater Phoenix" at the age of eleven. During her time at the camp, she performed in several dramatic plays and comedic parodies. She even had the opportunity to write and perform her own parody, which toured local schools and theaters.

Shortly after, Taylor began dancing and performing with the "Theater Phoenix" troupe. She then transitioned into commercials, appearing in ads for "Famous Footwear", the clothing line of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, and the "Disney Superstar Kids" commercial project, among others. Notably, she filmed the "Famous Footwear" commercial on her tenth birthday.

Rise to Stardom

Taylor's success as a child actress prompted her to convince her father to move to California. Eventually, her parents agreed, and Taylor made her acting debut in the fantasy adventure film "The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl". The film was well-received among its targeted young audience, earning a total of $39 million at the US box office.
