At the age of fifteen, Taylor participated in his first competition as part of the Team Slipstream's Junior Team. In his first year, he achieved victory in approximately thirty races. However, his breakthrough came in August 2007 when Taylor became the leader in the Junior World Championships. Since then, he has regularly participated in prestigious events such as Nationals, World Cups, and World Championships in pursuit races.

Currently, Taylor Finn has been selected to represent the United States in the upcoming Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. With his exceptional abilities, he has a great chance of winning a prestigious medal at the Olympics. Sports experts are trying to understand what played a crucial role in the young cyclist's destiny: his own determination and perseverance or his parents' genes (both his father and mother were Olympic medalists).

Taylor himself does not pay much attention to minor details; instead, he focuses on the big picture. He considers himself extremely capable and only relies on his desire to win. He firmly believes that the drive for victory is what gives him the strength to achieve it.

Additionally, Taylor is determined to win in the name of his father, who has always dreamed of seeing his son become a professional cyclist and gain recognition. Davis Finn, who is currently battling an incurable illness, receives unwavering support from his talented young cyclist son. Although Davis always had aspirations for Taylor's sports career, he never insisted on it or forced the young athlete. Instead, he waited for Taylor to independently make the decision. Now, Davis is happy as his son will soon surpass him in achievements.
