Childhood and Musical Influences

Taylor York was born on December 17, 1989, in Nashville, Tennessee. His father, Peter Taylor York, is an accomplished guitarist who taught both Justin and Taylor to play the instrument. York's musical influences include mewithoutYou, Radiohead, Jimmy Eat World, Yann Tiersen, At the Drive-In, Bjork, Kadawatha, and Paper Route.

Joining Paramore

York joined Paramore in 2006 as a touring rhythm guitarist and contributed to the writing of "That's What You Get" and "Conspiracy". He became an official member of the band on June 16, 2009.

Early Collaboration with the Farro Brothers

Before joining Paramore, York played with the Farro brothers (Josh Farro and Zac Farro). They initially collaborated on songs such as "Conspiracy" from their debut album, "All We Know Is Falling".

Official Band Member and Solo Guitarist

York toured with Paramore as a touring guitarist for two years (2007-2009) but was not a full-fledged member until it was announced on June 15, 2009, through the band's Livejournal account. After Josh Farro's departure in 2011, York became the band's solo guitarist.

Family and Personal Life

York has two brothers, Justin York, who currently tours with Paramore, and Chris York. Justin York is also a member of the band Cecil Adora.
