Teairra Mari is an American R&B and hip-hop singer, best known for her songs "Make Her Feel Good" and "No Daddy" in 2005. She was born on December 2, 1987, in Detroit, Michigan, USA. Mari started her career at the age of twelve, with the support of her grandparents. She caught the attention of Big Mike, Ed K, and Helluvah from K.I.S.S. Productions in Detroit. Under the guidance of Big Mike, Teairra gained experience working with renowned artists and producers in the music industry.

In October 2003, Teairra released her first album "Get Away" with the help of K.I.S.S. Productions. The album gained local popularity and showcased her talent. While continuing her education in a Detroit high school, Teairra drew inspiration from artists such as Destinys Child, Jodeci, Patti Labelle, and Ashanti.

When Teairra turned 16, Big Mike decided it was time to take her music career to the next level. He introduced her to industry veteran Daryl Simmons in Atlanta, Georgia. Daryl and Antonio "L.A." Reid from Def Jam Records were impressed by Teairra's demo and live performance, leading to a record deal and a fruitful collaboration.

Teairra worked with Jay-Z on her first project under Def Jam Records, resulting in the track "Make Her Feel Good." The song became a unique blend of different musical styles and reached the 35th spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the 9th position on the R&B chart. Her second single "No Daddy" also received commercial success and reached the top four on MTV's Total Request Live.

Teairra released her debut album "Roc-A-Fella Presents: Teairra Mari" in 2005, which reached the fifth position on the Billboard 200 chart and became the second best-selling R&B/hip-hop album. She performed at various music award shows and TV programs during 2005-2006.

In 2006, Teairra left Def Jam and signed a new contract with Interscope Records, setting her second album on hold. She continued to collaborate with other artists and made her film debut in Stephen Ledes' comedy "Doorman." Teairra also modeled for the clothing line "Jean Addicts."

Teairra's second album is scheduled for release in 2009, with the single "No No" already in circulation. She has also collaborated with artists like J-Kwon, Candy Hill, Pleasure P, and R$K.
