Biography of Tere Tereba

Tere Tereba was born in the late 1950s in Warren, Ohio, but later moved to Los Angeles, California with her parents. The move not only changed her home, but also her entire life. She quickly became fascinated with the city's nightlife, attending parties, concerts, and nights spent at bars on Sunset Strip, primarily the 'Whiskey A Go Go'. Soon, she became a regular at concerts and personally knew bands and musicians such as the Rolling Stones, Jim Morrison, James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, and Mike Bloomfield. Money was tight, so Tere often sewed her own clothes. Pamela Courson, Jim Morrison's girlfriend, noticed this and offered her a job at her trendy clothing boutique 'Themis', located in the heart of the city. At the same time, Tere also got a job at 'Young Edwardian', one of the country's most popular youth fashion labels. She spent her evenings in a small room, designing entire clothing collections. Within just six months, Tere emerged from the shadows - her collection was sold all over the country, distributed by stores such as Neiman-Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Bloomingdale's. At that time, she hadn't even turned 18 yet. Soon, Tere caught the attention of Andy Warhol; as experience shows, that could only mean one thing - she had not only talent, but also the chance to become famous. And she didn't miss it...

For some time, Tere worked in California before moving to New York, where she continued to work with Andy. In 1977, Tere landed a role in the comedy 'Andy Warhol's Bad', which, like all of Warhol's films, became quite popular in the United States. Over the next decades, Tere continued to sew clothes, developed an interest in architecture and design (her apartment appeared on the cover of 'Architectural Digest' several times), and her photos frequently appeared in fashion magazines. She actively gave interviews to journalists and shared her thoughts on new trends in fashion and art.
