Teresa Medeiros, an American writer, is the author of 23 novels, with her first one written in 1983. Despite having a shorter bibliography compared to many of her colleagues, Teresa's high level of craftsmanship is unanimously praised by readers and literary critics alike. Each of her novels has made it onto national bestseller lists, including those of publications such as Publishers Weekly, USA Today, and The New York Times.

Teresa Medeiros has won prestigious literary competitions and is listed as one of the "Ten Favorite Authors" by Affaire de Coeur magazine. Her novels have been finalists for the authoritative RITA Awards in the romance genre seven times, winning awards from Romantic Times for Best Historical and Best Humorous works. She has also received awards from publishers Waldenbooks and PRISM.

Early Life and Career
Teresa was born in 1962. Although she enjoys interacting with friends and fans on social media, she is reluctant to share details of her biography. After graduating from high school, Teresa pursued a degree in nursing from the University of Kentucky and worked as a registered nurse before getting married. Her marriage did not hinder Teresa's active lifestyle; she still enjoys cycling, is an active member of her church community, and loves dining out.
However, her childhood passion for mystical thrillers and romance novels with happy endings led her to try her hand at writing. Her first book, "Lady of Conquest," was published in 1989 and set the tone for her future works. The story took place in a fictionalized historical Ireland during the 500s, incorporating Celtic mysticism and elements of contemporary fantasy. The courageous hero, fighting to unite warring clans, and the young, brave-hearted heroine, along with themes of love, hatred, passion, and separation, captivated readers. This book was named the best historical romance of the year.
Award-Winning Novels
Teresa Medeiros' second book, "Shadows and Lace," published in 1991, received the Affaire de Coeur award for the best foreign historical romance. This captivating story followed Lady Rovene, who lost her estate due to her father's gambling and was forced to serve the dark lord Corleone. Their enthralling relationship and unexpected resolution earned the book high praise and a lasting readership.
In 2004, Teresa received her second Affaire de Coeur award for her novel "Yours Until Dawn." Her highly acclaimed novel "Fairest of Them All," published in 1995, retold the story of Snow White, where the heroine, convinced her beauty was a curse, distorted her appearance beyond recognition but still managed to win the love of a valiant knight. This book won the Romantic Times award for Best Humorous Romance.
Another notable work is "Breath of Magic," which received three different awards in the paranormal romance category. This story featured an inexperienced sorceress who traveled to modern-day New York and marked the beginning of Teresa Medeiros' "Lennox Sisters" series.
Recent Works
Teresa's most recent works include the "Burke Brothers" series. As of now, the series includes two novels: "The Pleasure of Your Kiss" and "The Temptation of Your Touch," released in 2013.
