The Honourable Terrance Drew: A Pioneer in Politics and Healthcare
Early Life and EducationTerrance Drew's journey began in 1976. He attended the prestigious Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College, where he laid the foundation for his future endeavors. In 1996, at the age of 19, he embarked on a part-time teaching role at the Basseterre High School.
Medical Training in Cuba
In 1998, Dr. Drew's pursuit of medicine led him to Cuba. He enrolled at the Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Villa Clara in Santa Clara, where he dedicated himself to mastering the art of healing. Upon his return to St. Kitts, he served as a general practitioner, bringing his expertise to his community.
Advanced Studies in Texas
Dr. Drew's thirst for knowledge extended beyond his initial medical training. He traveled to Texas to further his education, enrolling at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. In 2013, he successfully completed his residency in internal medicine.
Political Leadership
Dr. Drew's passion for serving his country extended beyond the realm of healthcare. In November 2021, he was elected leader of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party. His vision for a brighter future for the twin-island federation resonated with the electorate, leading him to victory in the August 2022 general elections.
Prime Ministership
On August 6, 2022, Dr. Terrance Drew assumed the mantle of Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis. He became the fourth and current head of government, bringing his unique blend of medical knowledge, political acumen, and unwavering dedication to the service of his people.
Inauguration and Cabinet
On August 15, 2022, Prime Minister Drew's ministry was sworn into office. His cabinet is comprised of experienced professionals and skilled leaders who share his vision of progress and prosperity for St. Kitts and Nevis.
