Biography of Terri Runnels
Terri Lynn Boatright Runnels, born on May 10, 1966, is a former professional wrestler, manager, philanthropist, and television host. She grew up in Florida, and while there is little information about her childhood, it is known that she spent some time in Southern Baptist.

Early Career
Terri began her career in the World Championship Wrestling (WCW) federation, where she was known as Miss Alexandra York, the manager of the York Foundation. After six years in WCW, she joined the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), now known as World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), where she worked for eight years. Terri became one of the first Divas in the WWE.
Wrestling Career
During her early years in WWF, Terri was the manager of her husband, Dustin Runnels (known as Goldust or "The Bizarre One"). She was also a member of the "Pretty Mean Sisters" alliance. Under her guidance, teams like the Hardy Boyz and Edge and Christian rose to prominence. Terri also had feuds with The Kat, managed "The Radicalz," and worked as a host and interviewer. She held the WWE Hardcore Championship for a brief period.
Personal Life
Terri underwent breast augmentation surgery, a common practice among female wrestlers. She was in a relationship with WCW colleague Brian Pillman in 1990. In 1993, she married Dustin Runnels, whom she also met in WCW. They had a daughter named Dakota in 1994. The couple faced problems in their marriage, including conflicts with Dustin's father, Dusty Rhodes. They divorced in 1999 but currently maintain amicable relations.
Later Life and Philanthropy
After leaving wrestling, Terri devoted herself to philanthropy. She participated in a special episode of "The Weakest Link" featuring only WWF stars. Terri represented the Ronald McDonald House, an organization providing housing for parents of sick children. She also supported various other charities, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Children's Miracle Network, Hermie & Elliott Sadler Foundation, Autism Speaks, and Fit Kids Marathon. Since 2008, Terri has hosted the charitable competition "Make the World Write," where participants describe how they would make the world a better place. The winner receives $100,000 and an invitation to visit Terri in Florida. She plans to make this competition an annual event. Terri has also released several books, including a collection of helpful tips and a book of photographs.
