Biography of Thad Luckinbill

Thad Luckinbill, an American actor currently starring in the soap opera "The Young and the Restless" as J.T. Hellstrom since 1999, was born on April 24, 1975, in Enid, Oklahoma. He studied business finance at the University of Oklahoma and was a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity, along with singer Creed Williams.

Luckinbill's mother is a singer, and she instilled in him a love for music. He learned to play the guitar during his childhood. He has a twin brother named Trent, who lives and works in Washington, D.C.

Luckinbill has appeared as a guest actor in several prime-time TV shows, including the fantasy series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" with Sarah Michelle Gellar, "Providence" as Jack Finch, "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" as Sean Nockton, and "Nash Bridges" as a young Bobby Bridges. He has also appeared in the series "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter" as Donnie Doyle, "Without a Trace," and "Body Parts" as Mitchell Skinner. Outside of acting, Luckinbill enjoys playing basketball, surfing, boxing, and gymnastics. He occasionally plays for the basketball team Hollywood Knights. He is married to Amelia Heinle, his co-star in "The Young and the Restless," since March 2007. Their characters are also married in the show. Luckinbill became a stepfather to Amelia's son, Augustin Wetherly, and on November 2, 2007, the couple had a child of their own, a son named Thaddeus Rowe.
