Biography of Theo Hernandez
Theo Hernandez is a French football player and defender for Real Madrid. He is the son of professional footballer Jean-Francois Hernandez and the younger brother of footballer Lucas Hernandez.
Early Career
Theo Hernandez began his football career at the youth academy of Atletico Madrid, the club his father played for. In 2015, he was promoted to the club's reserve team. On February 5, 2016, Hernandez was included in the first-team squad for a La Liga match against Eibar, although he did not make an appearance.
Loan Spell at Alaves
On August 4, 2016, Theo Hernandez extended his contract with Atletico Madrid and was loaned to Alaves for one season. He made his debut for the club on August 28, 2016, in a match against Sporting Gijon. On May 7, 2017, Hernandez scored his first career goal, securing a victory for Alaves against Athletic Bilbao. He also helped Alaves reach the final of the Copa del Rey, scoring the only goal against Barcelona.
Move to Real Madrid
On July 5, 2017, it was announced that Theo Hernandez would be transferring to Real Madrid, signing a six-year contract with the club. The release clause in his contract with Atletico Madrid was set at 24 million euros, but Real Madrid paid 26 million euros in installments to ease tensions between the two clubs. On July 10, Theo was officially presented as a Real Madrid player.

On August 8, 2017, Theo Hernandez won his first trophy with Real Madrid, the UEFA Super Cup. Although he was on the bench for the match, he received a medal as a winner of the tournament.
