Thiago Arancam, born in São Paulo, Brazil, is a renowned Italian-Brazilian lyric-dramatic tenor. His exceptional talent and dedication have brought him accolades on both sides of the Atlantic.
Early Life and Education
Arancam's musical journey began at the Municipal School of Music in São Paulo. He later studied at the Musical University 'Carlos Gomes', where he graduated in 2003. During his time there, he honed his vocal skills under the guidance of Maestro Bruno Roccella. In 2004, he won the prestigious 'Prêmio Revelação' at the 5th Bidu Sayão International Vocal Competition.
La Scala Academy and International Success
Following his early achievements, Arancam was invited to study at the renowned Accademia di perfezionamento per cantanti lirici at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Italy. Under the tutelage of the legendary soprano Leyla Gencer, he became the first Brazilian singer to ever be accepted into the program and graduated in 2007.
Arancam's international debut came in 2008 at the 'Operalia' competition, organized by Plácido Domingo. He won three awards: the Zarzuela Prize, the Audience Choice Award, and the Second Prize for Opera.

Since his breakthrough at 'Operalia,' Arancam has starred in a wide range of operatic productions. Notable performances include Don José in 'Carmen' at the Washington National Opera, Cavaradossi in 'Tosca' at the Frankfurt Opera, and Canio in 'Pagliacci' at the Stockholm Opera. He has graced the stages of renowned opera houses such as the Bolshoi Theatre, La Scala, and the Metropolitan Opera.

In addition to his operatic engagements, Arancam has performed in numerous concerts worldwide. He has sung at the Rosenblatt Recitals in London, the Lyric Festival in France, and with prestigious orchestras like the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestra Sinfonica of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
