Biography of Timothy Busfield

Timothy Busfield was born in 1957 in Lansing, Michigan. His father was a professor at Michigan State University, and from a young age, Timothy was involved in the university's theater club. His mother, Jean Busfield, taught literature and instilled in Timothy a love for reading.

After graduating from high school, Timothy enrolled at East Tennessee State University, where he studied drama. He later appeared in several productions at the Actors Theatre of Louisville and collaborated briefly with the Circle Repertory Company in New York City.

It is also known that Timothy served in the army and played as a pitcher in the semi-professional team, Sacramento Smokeys. In 1981, he landed a small role in the film "Stripes," starring Bill Murray. He appeared on screen only once as a soldier with a grenade launcher.

Over the years, Timothy participated in the filming of television series such as "Family Ties," "Hotel," and "After MASH!". However, in 1984, director Jeff Kanew offered him a role in the film "Revenge of the Nerds," which Timothy gladly accepted. The film was well-received by audiences and critics, providing a great platform for the young actor's career.
