Biography of Tina Arena
Tina Arena is an Australian singer, composer, and musical theatre actress. She has won several awards, including six ARIA Music Awards. In 1996 and 2000, Tina received the international music award, World Music Awards, for being the Australian artist with the highest sales worldwide. To date, Arena has sold approximately 8 million records worldwide.

Early Life and Education
Filippina Lydia Arena, known as Tina Arena, was born on November 1, 1967, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She was born to Italian immigrant parents, Giuseppe Arena and Franca Arena, who lived in East Keilor, a suburb of Melbourne. Tina grew up with her two sisters, Nancy and Silvana. While her family calls her "Pina," she chose the name Tina for her stage name. She attended St. Columba's College, a private Catholic girls' school in Melbourne, from 1980 to 1985.

Music Career
Tina Arena's music career began at the age of 7 when she performed on the television variety show "Young Talent Time." Despite gaining popularity as a child due to her powerful voice and stage presence, Tina disappeared from the public eye for several years after her appearance on "Young Talent Time." During this time, she worked on solo projects, performed in clubs, and later began taking on roles in musicals.
In 1988, at the age of 21, Tina re-emerged as a disco diva when her single "I Need Your Body" reached the third spot on the national charts and achieved platinum status. This was followed by the release of her successful album "Strong as Steel" in 1990, with several of its songs becoming hits. However, Tina's career as a disco diva came to an end as she did not resonate with the genre and image.
After several years of hard work, Tina broke free from the stereotypical image of a talented girl from an old television show and began a successful solo career with Columbia Records. Her album "Don't Ask" became the best-selling album of 1995 in Australia, selling over 2 million copies worldwide and achieving platinum status ten times. The same fate awaited her next album, "In Deep."
During her rise as a popular singer, Tina Arena did not give up her career as a musical theatre actress. She played notable roles such as Esmeralda in "Notre Dame de Paris" and Sally Bowles in "Cabaret" in 2002, as well as Roxie Hart in "Chicago" in 2007.
In 2005, Tina released her debut album in French, "Un Autre Univers," which also achieved platinum status and brought her tremendous success in Europe. In February 2009, she was awarded the National Order of Merit, the second-highest civilian award in France, by the decree of President Nicolas Sarkozy, for her contribution to the development of French culture.
Personal Life
Tina Arena married her manager, Ralph Carr, in December 1995, but they divorced in 1999. Carr filed a lawsuit, claiming that Tina had violated the terms of their contract and owed him a fifth of her income because her success was partly due to his connections, artistic guidance, and commercial instincts. The lawsuit was settled out of court, and influenced by the breakup of their relationship, Tina recorded the album "Just Me" in 2001, which featured the song "You Made Me Find Myself."
In 2000, Tina started dating French artist Vincent Mancini, and on November 17, 2005, the couple welcomed their son, Gabriel Joseph. The family splits their time between France, Australia, and the United Kingdom, but since 2008, they have primarily resided in Paris.
Tina's latest live album, "The Onstage Collection," was released on CD and DVD in Australia on January 15, 2010, and reached 22nd place on the ARIA chart. She announced that her seventh studio album in English is planned for release in 2011.
