Tolga Zengin is a Turkish footballer who currently plays as a goalkeeper for Beşiktaş in the Turkish Süper Lig and the Turkey national team.

Early Career and International Debut

Zengin began his professional career with Samsunspor in 2004. His impressive performances during the 2006/07 season earned him a call-up to the Turkish national team for a friendly match against Luxembourg in August 2006.

Euro 2008 and Potential Field Player Role

During Euro 2008, Zengin found himself in a unique position. With several players unavailable due to sanctions or injuries, Turkey's head coach, Fatih Terim, hinted that he might be used as a field player. Although Turkey reached the semi-finals of the tournament, losing 3-2 to Germany, Zengin did not make any appearances on the pitch.
