Tom Brown Jr. is an American naturalist and author of numerous autobiographical books. He was born on January 29, 1950, in Toms River, New Jersey. By the time Tom turned eighteen, he had completed his education at Toms River High School. From a young age, Tom had a deep curiosity about the world around him. Starting at the age of seven, he was taught how to navigate and survive in the wilderness. It was effortless for young Tom to spend time in the actual wilderness and learn to survive and take risks.

Thanks to his skills, abilities, and desire to learn, Tom Brown Jr. ventured into mind-boggling experiments with his own life. For ten years, he lived in the desert, meticulously studying its characteristics. These experiments set the tone for his entire life. When Tom returned to civilization, he immediately began searching for people interested in his knowledge and experiences gained from extended periods of time spent in nature. Initially, his offers were met with little enthusiasm. However, after some time, people started seeking his help, relying on his expertise in finding missing individuals, fugitives, and dangerous animals.

Soon, Tom Brown Jr. established the Tracker School, located in New Jersey (with classes also being held in California and Florida). The school taught survival skills in the wild and embraced the natural way of human life. Lessons were conducted in specially equipped camps. Tom Brown is the author of seventeen books. His first book, "The Tracker," was published in 1978. Many years later, in September 2007, his debut audio production, "Grandfather," was released. Among his notable works are various guidebooks, as well as "The Science and Art of Tracking," "The Vision," "The Quest," "The Journey," "Awakening Spirits," "The Way of the Scout," "The Tracker," "The Search," and others.
