Biography of Tomas Enge
Tomas Enge is a Czech racing driver who gained recognition as the winner of the Formula One World Championship. He made his debut in the racing world in 1992, racing in Czech Republic with a Ford Fiesta. He later participated in Formula Ford and German Formula 3. In 1999, Enge moved to Formula 3000 and worked as a test driver for the Formula One team, Jordan.
In 2001, Enge replaced the injured Luciano Burti in the last three races of the Formula One World Championship, driving for the Prost team. The following year, he competed in the ALMS championship, participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race, and completed a full season in F-3000. Despite finishing first in the international F-3000 championship, his result in the race in Hungary was disqualified due to the detection of traces of marijuana in his doping test. As a result of the disqualification, Enge could only secure third place in the championship.
Enge continued to compete in various championships such as ALMS, F-3000, A1 Grand Prix, and Indycar. However, in March 2007, he suffered a severe accident during an ALMS race in St. Petersburg, breaking his arm. Remarkably, he made a comeback in May 2007 and returned to racing.
