Tommy Yeardye Biography

Tommy Yeardye, a British businessman, was born in Ireland and grew up under the care of his single mother in Mill Hill, North London. From a young age, he showed a strong entrepreneurial spirit, taking photographs of tourists visiting London's landmarks and persuading them to purchase the resulting pictures. Although he had a natural talent for commerce, Tommy's lifelong dream was to become an actor.

Tommy's striking appearance, standing at 1.93 centimeters with well-defined features and impeccable taste, made him an ideal candidate for the role of a gangster's henchman. He spent a considerable amount of time in a bar called 'Winston' near Bond Street, well-known in London's underground world. Fortunately, Tommy had enough sense not to get involved in criminal activities.

His acting career began to take shape when he became a stuntman for Viktor Mezhurov and Rock Hudson. During filming, he even doubled as Viktor in a bedroom scene with Diana Dors. Diana, who was having problems with her husband and manager Dennis Hamilton, developed a complicated and tangled relationship with Tommy. He combined the qualities of her best friend, companion, and bodyguard.

At one point, Tommy even moved into Diana's mansion in Maidenhead. However, Dennis did not understand the hints and refused to give his wife to another man. He often directly threatened the couple, leading to a confrontation where Tommy had to knock him out. The love triangle held together surprisingly well, with no signs of a resolution in sight. The situation began to irritate those around them, including Arthur Rank, the creator of the 'Rank Organization' advocating British values. In 1957, Diana's contract with this organization was terminated due to the scandal surrounding her personal life.

Eventually, the situation was resolved when Diana left both Dennis and Tommy to be with comedian Dickie Dawson. Tommy took the whole situation calmly, stating that he never believed he was the only man in Diana's life. Furthermore, her excessive emotionalism had started to wear him out. However, Diana did not want to let him go so easily, and they engaged in legal battles over the division of their joint assets.

After some time, Tommy started his own business with the help of businessman Balfor Dehavilland. They opened a restaurant near Portland Place where guests could engage in nude figure drawing during their meals. Tommy also acquired the 'Condor' club in Soho, but this investment proved to be less successful as he had to deal with the local mafia, leading him to eventually give up the club. Unfortunately, he had to close the restaurant as well.

However, Tommy found success with his investment in the revolutionary hair care line 'Vidal Sassoon', which helped him build a substantial fortune. He later ventured into sportswear production and collaborated with the company 'Microcool' for some time. His daughter, Tamara, followed in her father's footsteps and, with his support, launched her own project trading designer footwear, which turned out to be incredibly profitable.
