Biography of Tori Jamal Thomas
Early Life and College CareerTori Jamal Thomas is an American professional basketball player who currently plays as a point guard for the Levallois Sporting Club Basket in the French Basketball Association. Thomas attended Trinity Catholic High School in Stamford, Connecticut, where he played basketball. He then went on to play college basketball at the College of the Holy Cross. During his four-year career with the Holy Cross Crusaders, Thomas played 125 games, averaging 9.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.1 steals per game.
Professional Career
In his first season as a professional player, Thomas averaged 25.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 3.1 steals per game for "Acropolis". He was later named the Player of the Year in the Swedish Basketball League. In July 2008, Thomas signed a one-year contract with the Dutch company Hanzevast Capitals. After the season, he remained in the same league and signed a contract with Matrixx Magixx.
On July 12, 2010, Thomas signed a contract with PGE Turow. While playing for Turow Zgorzelec, he averaged 14.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game in 41 games. He was named the Most Valuable Player of the Polish Basketball League that season. In August 2011, he signed a contract with the Russian club "Spartak-Primorye" alongside his future teammate, Jackiel Akindélé.
On September 3, 2012, Thomas agreed to sign a one-year contract with the Belgrade-based team "Partizan". He departed from "Partizan" on November 15, 2012. On December 22, 2012, he signed a contract with "Scavolini Pesaro" for the remainder of the season. On June 22, 2013, Thomas signed a one-year contract with Aliaga Petkim. He was released on October 22, 2013. In December 2013, he signed a contract with Le Mans. He left them in January 2014 and signed a contract with Cholet Basket. On April 2, 2014, he parted ways with Cholet.
On August 23, 2014, he signed a one-year contract with "Aris Saloniki". On July 7, 2015, Thomas signed a contract with Rosa Radom from the Polish Basketball League.
On September 10, 2016, Thomas signed a contract with the Macedonian club "MZT Skopje" for the 2016-17 season. However, he left MZT just three games into the ABA League. Two days later, he signed a contract with Petrolina AEK Larnaca for the remainder of the season.
On July 24, 2017, Thomas signed a one-year contract with ADA Blois Basket 41, a French club in the LNB Pro B.
In the 2019-2020 season, Thomas played for ASK Koshalin in the top league in Poland. In the 2020-2021 season, he joined Kemper in the French Pro B. Currently, in 2021, he is playing for Gavre in France's NM1 league.
