A Distinguished Military Career: A Biography

Early Life and Education

Major General graduated from the Ryazan Higher Airborne Command School in 1974. He then pursued advanced military education at the M.V. Frunze Military Academy, graduating in 1985. In 2001, he earned a distinction from the Military Academy of the General Staff in Kazakhstan.

Early Military Service

Major General began his officer career as a platoon commander in the 111th Guards Parachute Regiment in Kyrgyzstan. He held various leadership positions within the 35th Guards Independent Airborne Assault Brigade in East Germany.

Command Positions in the Kazakh Armed Forces

After Kazakhstan's independence in 1992, Major General returned and commanded the 35th Guards Independent Airborne Assault Brigade in Kapchagay. He also served as the head of the 210th Guards District Training Center, Commander of the First and Second Army Corps, and Chief of the General Staff and First Deputy Commander of the Armed Forces Joint Forces.

Commanding the Mobile Forces and Regional Command

Major General was appointed as the first Commander of the Mobile Forces in 2001. From 2002 to 2004, he commanded the troops of the Southern Military District and Regional Command "South."

Retirement and Return to Service

Major General retired in 2004 but was recalled to active duty in 2007. He served as Deputy Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee and later as the First Deputy Chairman. In September 2010, he was appointed as Head of the Department of Personnel of the Ministry of Defense.

Academic Appointment

In December 2011, Major General retired from the military and became the Head of the Military Department at L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University.

Awards and Honors

Major General has been decorated with the Order of Danq (Glory) of the Second Degree and numerous medals.
