Early Life and Education

Georgian poet and translator, graduated from Moscow University's Law Faculty in 1914.

Literary Beginnings

Began publishing in Sergey Gorodetsky's journal "Ars" in 1914, later contributing to various Georgian periodicals. Edited the Georgian journal "Dreaming Gazelles."

Symbolism Movement

Co-founded the "Blue Horns" group of symbolist poets in 1915-1916.
Soviet Period

Wrote poetry on the themes of revolution ("Return to the Land") and socialist construction.

Translation and Influence

Translated Russian (Pushkin, Lermontov, Nekrasov, Blok), French, German, and English poetry into Georgian. Notably, he translated the complete works of Georgian poet Nikoloz Baratashvili into Russian.
