Early Life and Education

Born in Ukraine, the renowned chemist pursued a scientific path. In 1963, he graduated with honors from Odessa State University.

Research Career

Physical and Coordination Chemistry Institute

His scientific journey began at the Physicochemical Institute after A.V. Bogatsky in Odessa. From 1986 onward, he served as Head of the Department of Analytical Chemistry and the Physicochemistry of Coordination Compounds.

Accomplishments

His research spanned diverse areas of analytical chemistry, including the study of rare elements, ion hydrolysis, and spectrophotometry. He made significant contributions to the development of organic analytical reagents and the analysis of natural and technical materials.

Recognition

In collaboration with Vasily Andreyevich Nazarenko, he received the All-Union Chemical Society Award for their monograph "Trioxyfluorones" (1973).

Editorial Roles

Scientific Journals

He actively contributed to the scientific community through his editorial roles. He served as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the journal "Methods and Objects of Chemical Analysis" and a member of the editorial board of the "Ukrainian Chemical Journal."
