Biography of Vagif Fizuli oglu Javadov

Vagif Fizuli oglu Javadov is an Azerbaijani football player who currently plays as a forward for the Nizhny Novgorod-based team, "Volga", as well as the Azerbaijan national team. He also holds Russian citizenship.

Early Life and Career

Javadov began playing football at the age of 7 in the youth football school (SDYUSHOR) in Baku, Azerbaijan. His first coach was Vagif Pashaev. At the age of 11, he moved to the Moscow-based youth sports school, CSKA, where he was trained by Vladimir Aleksandrovich Kobzar.

In 2007, Javadov joined the main team of the Azerbaijani Premier League club, "Karabakh" (Agdam). Prior to that, he played for the reserves of Moscow's CSKA.

Club Career

In 2009, Javadov signed a 3-year contract with the Dutch club, "Twente", and was given the jersey number 7. He then went on loan to the club "Baku", and later joined the Nizhny Novgorod-based team, "Volga".

International Career

Since 2006, Javadov has represented Azerbaijan in international competitions and plays as number 7 for the national team. His debut game for the national team took place on May 18, 2006, in Chisinau during a friendly match against the Moldovan national team, which ended in a draw of 0-0.

On October 7, 2011, after the national team's defeat against Austria (1-4), Javadov decided to withdraw from playing for the team.

Achievements

Javadov has achieved several accomplishments throughout his career. In 2009, he won the Azerbaijani Cup with "Karabakh" (Agdam). He was also named the Best Football Player in Azerbaijan in 2009. Additionally, he was part of the "Twente" team that became the champions of the Netherlands in the 2009/10 season.
