Varis Vetra, a renowned Soviet and Latvian actor, director, and entrepreneur, was born on March 22, 1955, in Riga, Latvia. He attended the 50th Riga Secondary School before pursuing his passion for the arts at the Latvian State Conservatory named after J. Vītols.
Acting and Directing Career
In 1978, Vetra graduated from the Conservatory with a degree in Theatre and Film Acting, having studied under the tutelage of Arnold Lininš. He went on to complete a degree in Theatre Directing in 1984.
Vetra's acting career began at the J. Rainis Artistic Academic Theatre, also known as the Dailes Theatre. As a director and actor, he collaborated with the R?b?ja Mute Children's and Youth Musical Theatre in Riga. He also showcased his talents in films produced by the Riga Film Studio.
